On November 13, 2006 Kawasaki Disease Canada Parent Awareness Group (kdcanada.ca) was founded by a small group of parents directly affected by a Kawasaki disease diagnosis.
For nearly ten years we have promoted awareness, provided money for research, offered support for families, and received recognition and gratitude from the medical community for our efforts.

Money was raised from two events; KD Canada’s first fundraiser dance and sponsorship of Peter Johnson in the Ironman Triathlon Florida.
Money raised is directed through SickKids Toronto to advance the research into Kawasaki Disease.
