 Hello,
My son Diego is 27 month. He had kd at 15 month with Adenovirus, when we went to Paraguay, South America for vacation and visit our family. By then we didn't know anything about this disease.
He started with high fever, a bit of peeling, red eyes, red lips. By day 12 he has his 1st. Eco, they found an inflamation in the pericardio (heart) the Dr. said if he wake up with fever they will use IVIG, but he woke up without fever so they didnt treat him with IVIG. A month after another Eco, he was totaly normal.
We came back to Kingston, Canada in march, and we just want to make sure he was fine. So I went to my family Dr., then pediatritian, and finally the Cardiologist, that was in June, but Diego didnt stay still so they make another appointment of course 5 month after.  In Nov. 25th He had the Eco and they found a 6.5 aneurysm in his right coronary artery and a 4.5 in the left. We can't beleived this is happening, it is so hard. Now he is on medication, ASA and Plavix for life. We are Glad that we ask for an Eco here in Canada so he can be treat.
Should we go to Toronto for a 2nd. opinion? This month he will have a Caterization in Ottawa.

 I am sorry to hear they found aneurysms but the most important issue is they did. The cath will get a good look inside of the aneurysms and will be able to provide your cardiologist with more information, please keep us posted and all the best!

 Diego had the Cath, and its confirmed that he has 1 aneurysm in the left artery and a stenosis in the other one. We are happy that que doesnt have more aneurysm, something positive in this situation. Of course we still worried and tried to live with this bad condition. Thanks for the support !!! Its an excellent way to take away all the things that I have in my heart, thank you !!!!
